Thailand Hazardous Substance Act B.E.2535 (1992)

Hazardous Chemical Substance Act B.E. 2535 is one of the main legislative pieces involved in the chemical management in Thailand. It covers a wide range of requirements and duties of the companies that produce, import, export and possess hazardous substances.

 
Regulation No.74-2001 on hazardous and toxic substances management
Scope: Hazardous and Toxic Substances / Status: In Force / Release: 2000-3-31/ Effective: 2000-3-31

In order to prevent and mitigate the risks of hazardous and toxic substances impact to the living environment, human health and other living creatures, Indonesian government issues this regulation and stipulates a comprehensive range of requirements on the control and management of hazardous substances.

 
Occupational Safety and Health Standards

China Releases IECSC Inclusion Procedures
28 July 2014 At the start of July 2014, the procedures of including notified new chemical substance into the IECSC from eligible notifiers who have completed notification under SEPA Order 17 were finalized and the practical listing work is now underway.

25 July 2014 Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of Hazardous Chemicals (Trial) came into force from Mar 1st, 2013, with the goal of improving China’s environmental management of hazardous chemicals.
 
Japan to Adopt Simplified Prior Confirmation Procedures for Small Amount New Chemical Substance from this October
24 July 2014 Japan has approved a new prior confirmation system of small amount new chemical substances in the case of intermediates and chemicals specifically for export. The new system will be implemented from October 1st, 2014.

Taiwan TCSCA - Toxic Chemical Substance Control Act
The core of the revised TCSCA is a registration scheme which requires manufacturers and importers to register their new and existing chemical substances prior to entering Taiwan’s market. These new requirements should be complied with after 11 Dec 2014.
