ASEAN-Japan Chemical Safety Database Pilot Scheme Launched
24 Apr 2015 The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced the launch of ASEAN-Japan Chemical Safety Database (AJCSD), a platform for sharing information on chemical regulatory schemes and chemical risks and hazards on April 6th.
 
Taiwan MoL Issues the Draft List of Designated Priority Management Chemical Substances
24 Apr 2015 Taiwan MoL issued a draft list of 580 chemical substances, which are designated as priority management chemical substances under OSHA on 13 April. All stakeholders are invited to comment during the public consultation period before 24 April, 2015.

Taiwan Existing Chemical Substances Inventory to Be Updated Before Sep 2015
16 Apr 2015 Taiwan’s chemical substance supplementation program ended on 31 Mar 2015. All application dossiers will be preliminarily reviewed by the end of April and further reviewed in May. It is expected that the Taiwan Existing Chemical Substances Inventory (TCSI) will be updated before Sep since the phase 1 existing chemical registration launches on 1 Sep 2015.
 
Taiwan Won’t Provide Inquiry Service for Identifying Whether a Substance is New or Not
15 Apr 2015 At present self-assessment referencing the online chemicals inventory is the only method available to determine chemical status (new or existing) and according to Taiwan EPA there will be no provision of a more comprehensive inquiry system in future.
 
South Korea Consults on 518 Priority Existing Substances Subject to K-REACH Registration
14 Apr 2015 The public consultation of the draft list of 518 priority existing chemical substances (PECs) subject to registration under the Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (K-REACH) will end on the 30th of Apr 2015.

[Authorisation] A Second Pilot Project is started by Forum
On 24-26 Mar 2015, the Forum for Exchange of Information on Enforcement determined on a second pilot Project on the authorized substances, and this project will focus on substances with a sunset date before 2016.
 
40 Substances’ Evaluation Draft Decisions will be sent by ECHA
