Japan MHLW Plans to Add 7 Substances to ISHL List
20 October 2016 Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) issued a notice on the draft amendments of the designated substances under Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISHL). The draft is open to public comments until Nov 16th.
 
Taiwan to Establish a New Bureau for Chemicals and Toxic Chemicals
20 October 2016 Taiwan is to establish the Bureau of Toxics and Chemical Substances under the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration.
 
South Korea Considers Appending Existing Chemical Inventory with 10 Non-Toxic Substances
13 October 2016 MoE is now consulting on 10 non-toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2016-3-7176~2016-3-7185) until 30 Oct 2016. If no objection is submitted, these substances will be officially added to KECI.
 
South Korea Issued Hazard Evaluation Results for 179 New Substances Registered under K-REACH
12 October 2016 South Korea NIER made public the results of hazard evaluation of 179 new substances (given number as 2016-418~2016-596) registered under K-REACH.
 
Three More Provinces Start VOCs Charge
12 October 2016 In the last three months, three more Chinese provinces have started charging on VOCs emissions. Together with the other 11 provinces, there are 14 provinces in total that have already implemented VOCs charge policies.
