South Korea Notifies WTO of K-REACH Revision
19 Jan 2017 South Korea’s Ministry of Environment notified the Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade under World Trade Organization (WTO) of a proposed revision to the Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemical Substances (K-REACH). |

16 Jan 2017 Thailand Ministry of Industry (MOI) issued a notice (B.E. 2559), making some changes to the List of Hazardous Substances under the Hazardous Substances Control Act (HSCA). |

12 Jan 2017 Korea NIER is now consulting on updates to the GHS Classification List. The classification information, pictograms, signal words, hazard statements and M factors of 30 substances are subject to a period of public consultation lasting 20 days. |

GHS Requirements Become Mandatory in Australia
12 Jan 2017 GHS requirements has become mandatory in Australia (excluding Victoria, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory). Manufacturers and importers of hazardous chemicals will be the most affected by the introduction of GHS. |

South Korea Consults on 23 New Toxic Chemical Substances
10 Jan 2017 South Korea MoE is now consulting on 23 toxic chemical substances until 31 Jan 2017. If no objection is submitted, these substances will be officially added to South Korea’s Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL). |
