China MIIT Plans to Draft Automobile Prohibited Substance Standard
4 May 2017 Chinese MIIT published a plan to amend 6 mandatory national standards, including “Requirements for prohibited substances in automobiles”. The standard is expected to be carried out in 2020.
 
Japan Consults on Revision of Poisonous and Deleterious Substances
4 May 2017 Japanese MHLW published a proposal of the revision of the Order for Designation of Poisonous and Deleterious Substances and sought feedback from the public. The consultation will end on May 26th 2017.
 
List of K-REACH Lead Registrants Published for 316 PECs
3 May 2017 8 PECs subject to K-REACH joint registration finished LR (lead registrants) election in Apr 2017. So far LR election has been completed for 316 PECs and there are still 194 PECs requiring LR election.
 
Taiwan Proposes New Toxic Chemical Substance Control Act
2 May 2017 A draft proposal to revise Taiwan TCSCA has been issued for public comments until 16 June. Major updates will be made to expand control over chemical substances which may cause environment pollution or affect human health.
 
China to Draft List of Substances of Very High Concern
27 Apr 2017 Chinese Standardization Administration have a plan of drafting a national standard about identification and evaluation of Substances of Very High Concern.
 
South Korea Designates 23 New Toxic Chemical Substances
25 Apr 2017 South Korea’s MoE announced the addition of 23 substances into the Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL). Transitional measures are provided for these new toxic substances.
